In order join in the very mixed conversation surrounding the release of the Apple Watch, Netflix partnered with Ignition to create a viral parody video announcing its fictional product—the Netflix Watch. Our Creative, Production, and Interactive departments all collaborated to shoot the spot in one day, then edit in-house. The joke was perfectly timed. In under 48 hours, the video had over 150,000 views on YouTube and gained immediate media attention on popular outlets like NBCNews, USA Today, Hollywood Reporter, Entertainment Weekly, TIME, and more. Currently, over 60 articles have been written about the spoof with positive reviews like, “Hilarious” and “...one of their funniest.”
